Biography

Imagination and dreams come naturally to children. It is society and community that rid a child of these to bring them into the bounds (and rules) of reality. In order for us to be a part of community, we give up some individuality. In full spectrum and infrared photography, David Twede has again found imagination and dreams taking him back to that childlike individuality and a new found independence.

David’s desire is to create a unique flavor of colors and composition. Seeing his first infrared photograph was like visiting the dream world. For the past years, David has searched the material world for representations of his other-worldly imaginings. And through modern photography, he’s captured conscious scenes of those subconscious wanderings.
